WIAW

Whatsup Wednesday!? It has been a HECK of a hump day over here. I got an order for 5 dozen cookies due tomorrow and I took it! Considering the cookies take 24 hours to dry this was a risky move but after 8 straight hours I am finished, finito, donzo! Can you tell I am excited? I loved this set so much. Ill post finished pictures from my work account if anyone’s interested (@weirdelicious)

WHAT-I-ATE-WEDNESDAY-NEW-BUTTON-PEAS-AND-CRAYONS

 I always find new inspiration for lunch ideas. I also love writing down what I eat on a given day, this really keeps my from mindlessly snacking which is easy to do when you have an endless supply of skinny pop on hand at all times

Breakfast: This morning I woke up at the usually hour between 6:30-7 and started my day with a full bottle water and 1/2 a lemon. This to me is one of the best things you can do for your health and so easy. Here’s some reasons why: lemon water first thing aids in digestion, alkalizes the body, pumps up the immune system, hydrates, boost mineral absorption and detoxifies.

Next I had a couple of cups of coffee with soy milk. I also ate half a raw bar pre-run. I got my gear on, grabbed my garmin and started to walk out the door but had a nagging sense that I didn’t need to run today-not two seconds later I got the large cookie order and went to work. 

 

Well, I went to work after this apple cinnamon oatmeal with strawberries (I like to make a big batch of steel cut oats on Sunday to eat through out the week)

Snack: Large smoothie with 1 frozen banana, frozen spinach, IMG_1044strawberries, blackberries, 1 T wheatgrass, almond milk and chia seeds

Lunch: A delicious romaine salad with avocado, tomato and leftover roasted chicken with blush vinaigrette.* And then Bowen brought home the best french fries from his lunch so naturally I had to help polish those off 😉

*On sunday’s I prep different lettuces and veggies for salad all week

Snack: Macadamia milk latte from Fabled Brew-very favorite coffee spot in Fairhope

Supper:  Tonight, I roasted a LARGE pan of brussel sprouts and broccoli and some purple potatoes on 400 degrees for 20 minutes. While still warm I tossed them with an easy vinaigrette  of dijon, tarragon vinegar, oil and a little brown sugar. I served the veggies over a big salad. Bowen had tenderloin and lots of veggies.

Our favorite fro yo yo place just moved so it looks like banana date shakes are on the menu and I am currently eating some chocolate covered/oat date balls.

    Everything you ate today looks so delicious! And I love how you meal prep, I try to do the same thing. It really does make a difference when you’re busy during the week. And oh my…those oat date balls look heavenly…
